The Philippines on Thursday reported 193 new COVID-19 infections, increasing the nationwide caseload to 3,685,222.

The country’s active case count decreased to 9,585 from 10,576 on Wednesday, according to the DOH’s latest data. This is the lowest active tally this year.

Among top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region with 1,045, followed by Region 4-A with 396 and Region 3 with 252.The country’s death toll, meanwhile, rose to 60,267. At least 21,651 individuals were tested, while 315 testing laboratories submitted data as of Wednesday, April 27.

The nationwide bed occupancy dropped to 16.8%, while 5,369 were occupied, and 26,530 were vacant, according to the DOH.
