THE Department of Health recorded the highest number of coronavirus disease deaths in a day with nearly 200 fatalities on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020.

Other deaths were reported in Central Visayas , Calabarzon , Central Luzon , Western Visayas , unknown , ROF or returning overseas Filipinos , Ilocos Region , Zamboanga Peninsula , Northern Mindanao , Mimaropa , Caraga and Cagayan Valley . As to the number of patients who have recovered from the disease, the DOH listed 659 new recoveries. This brought the total number of survivors to 187,116.
