Police identified the suspects as Onin, Rey, Bagang, Lito, Son, Jovi, Nan, Nold, Tantan, Ryan, Vin, Jo, Junior, Mer, Zaldy, Meng, Yan, and Tonio.
Hero Lacap, area manager of ENP Fuel Trading, reported to the Guagua Municipal Police Station that their fuel tanker with license plates JAO-2872 driven by Luciano Romasasa was found abandoned and empty on JASA Road, Barangay San Antonio. Police conducted follow-up investigation using closed-circuit television camera footage and found a truck in a vacant lot license plates NDD-6453 allegedly used to transfer diesel from the abandoned truck.
Five tanker trucks loaded with diesel with unspecified quantities and one multicab with the license plate number YDF379 loaded with 24 containers of gasoline were found nearby. Police Regional Office-3 chief Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan cited the operating unit for their achievement.
