The Star Education Fund is back for the 30th consecutive year, and this time, 171 scholarships worth close to RM10.6mil from 23 institutions are available for applications.

Star Education Fund manager Susanna Kuan said while good grades are important, students need not be straight-A scorers to secure a scholarship.

She added that it is important for students to choose a course they are interested in when applying for a scholarship. She also stressed that when submitting documents and certificates obtained from co-curricular activities, it is best for applicants to submit only those which are most recent and relevant.

“Since its inception in 1994, the Fund has benefited 4,361 scholarship recipients with a total value of over RM158.5mil,” he said.
