13 new COVID19 cases reported in Zamboanga City
ZAMBOANGA CITY - Thirteen additional coronavirus disease 2019 cases were reported in Zamboanga City on Tuesday.
Based on the advisory issued by the city's Task Force COVID, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city has risen to 108. The 13 confirmed cases are inmates who were released from the City Reformatory Center by virtue of court orders on Sunday, May 10.The inmates were placed under 14-day quarantine in a hotel as part of the protocol before they are sent home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
IATF Resolution No. 35 declared a general community quarantine in Region 9, including Zamboanga City, as these areas are categorized as places with moderate risk of infection.The Philippines now has a total of 11,350 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 751 deaths and 2,106 recoveries.
