AFTER the Davao police, now it’s the personnel of the 10th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army who yielded negative in the random drug test conducted on January 2, 2025.All 326 personnel and officials, including several members of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit of the 10ID underwent the random drug testing . 10ID Division of Public Affairs Office spokesperson Major Ruben Gadut said on January 9 described the recent development as a “good start” for the new year.

Last 2024, at least 28 personnel of the military unit tested positive for drugs.Reports said that 17 were regular military personnel and the rest were members of the Cafgu.According to Gadut, eight soldiers were immediately discharged from the service while 13 were awaiting discharge orders after the results were released in 2024.He said that the seven Cafgu members' tenure of service was immediately ended and the regular troops found positive for illegal drug use were discharged.
