Russia has begun to 'prepare their society' for the potential use of nuclear weapons, in what Volodymyr Zelensky has labelled a 'very dangerous' move.
Mr Zelensky made the remarks in an interview with the BBC as he called on world leaders to"stop urgently the actions of Russian occupiers".
"They are not ready to do it, to use it. But they begin to communicate. They don't know whether they'll use or not use it. I think it's dangerous to even speak about it."Joe Biden declared Russian President Vladimir Putin's nuclear posturing is not a bluffWhile US officials have said there was no reason yet to change its own nuclear positioning, Mr Biden gave his strongest declaration yet that there was cause for concern.
Putin has made explicit threats relating to the weapons of mass destruction, declaring in late September Moscow would be forced to use the devastating arms if Ukraine continued to infringe on what he called Russian territory. Tymoshenko said evacuation of civilians is continuing after shelling destroyed critical infrastructure in towns like Arkhanhelske, Vysokopillia and Osokorivka.
