Birthday tributes have flowed in for Princess Anne as she turned 73 on Tuesday but a newly unearthed interview with her daughter Zara Tindall has revealed her most “annoying” habit.
During an interview to mark her milestone 70th birthday in 2020, Tindall revealed her mother’s brain is like a “sponge”, which is “quite annoying”. “It's incredible. Quite annoying, as well."In the 2020 interview Tindall also offered a rare insight into Anne’s life as a grandmother of five.
"She loves seeing them ride, she loves having them around for Sunday lunches, doing all the sorts of stuff we used to do as kids,” she said.Born in 1950, Princess Anne was the first British female royal to ever attend school. The Princess Royal completed her six O-Levels at Benenden School in Kent, leaving with three A-Levels in English, History and Politics.
However, at the age of 18 Anne declined to attend university like her elder brother King Charles and became a full-time working royal instead. Anne is known for her strong work ethic, no-nonsense approach to royal duties and an ability to gamely tackle sensitive topics head on. During a rare sit-down with Canadian broadcaster CBC earlier this year ahead of the coronation, Anne was quizzed on the British Royal Family’s connections to slavery.ð¸ At Buckingham Palace on Coronation Day 2023. ©ï¸Chris Jackson / Getty Images.
