Royal watchers attending the Wellington International Horse Trials over the weekend were given a special treat when Zara Tindall made a big return to the sport.

The 42-year-old is an esteemed equestrian who won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics in three-day eventing.

Tindall joined fellow equestrians in the prestigious horse-riding event while husband Mike Tindall and their three kids proudly watched on. The Tindalls also have a special connection to Australia after first meeting in Sydney during the 2003 Rugby World Cup, when Mike captained the English side. According to YouGov, Tindall is currently the sixth most popular royal in the United Kingdom and ranks well above her uncle Prince Edward, her aunt Queen Camilla and her cousin Prince Harry.Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips famously chose not to give her children royal titles, a decision designed to allow Zara and her brother Peter to live a relatively normal life.
