Zaid Ibrahim to vie for Umno supreme council seat

PETALING JAYA: Lawyer Datuk Zaid Ibrahim is eyeing a seat on the Umno supreme council.

"Tomorrow I submit my application form to contest for Umno Supreme Council seat," the former law minister said in a tweet on Wednesday . Zaid, who was ousted from Umno in 2008, rejoined the party last year with goals of reforming the party"from within".
