Responding to the speculation, producer Datuk Yusof Haslam admitted that he was unaware of the news as he and his son had not been in contact for a long time. "I don't know... my wife and I have been out of touch with Syamsul for a long time. So I can't speak about things I don't know about, it might turn out differently. I don't want to comment because I want to protect everyone's feelings. My wife's and my family's feelings," he told mStar,He also said that he should hear the good news from his son and not from a third party.
Despite not being in touch with Syamsul, Yusof said he and his wife will always support and pray for his well-being.
