Police said a man noticed the three-year-old girl in the front seat of the bus when it was parked on Forbes Street in Trundle, near Parkes, just before 12pm.READ MORE:The girl was taken to Parkes Hospital and released a short time later.

Police and the Department of Education are both investigating the incident, with the latter identifying the vehicle as a "private school bus". "The Department has been made aware of a serious incident related to the transportation of a child on a private school bus who attends a service at Trundle," it said in a statement.A young girl was accidentally left on a bus in the NSW town of Trundle.
