Inflation strikes again — only this time, with your coffee rewards. The number of stars, or points, required to redeem rewards at Starbucks is changing on Monday.
The number of stars, or points, required toYou will now need 100 stars to receive a brewed hot or ice coffee or tea, a bakery item or core reusable plastic to-go cups, up from 50; 200 stars for a handcrafted drink, hot breakfast or snack box, up from 150; and 300 stars for a sandwich, salad or at-home coffee up from 200.
The coffee giant announced its changes to customers on Wednesday by email and through the Starbucks app. What also remains unchanged is adding syrup, espresso shots, or milk alternatives for 25 stars each as well as free refills of hot or iced brewed coffee or tea during the same store visit for rewards members.
