Although your view is factually true, I would point out that terrorism is everyone’s problem and countries need to work closely together to prevent another 9/11 attack. A small group of terrorists was able to murder nearly 3,000 innocent people using planes as weapons!
It was surprising how little coverage this horrific crime of the century was given in the media this year on the anniversary of the shocking slaughter that changed air travel and raised security concerns around the globe. Could such a thing happen again? You bet it could as U.S. President Joe Biden has turned Afghanistan back over to the Taliban, leaving that terrorist organization with modern weaponry worth billions of dollars. Biden’s current open-border policy has allowed millions of unvetted illegals to enter the U.S.A., providing easy access to terrorists.
The Communist Party of Canada has become increasingly aggressive in territorial matters, remaking Hong Kong a dictatorial state ruled by authorities on the mainland. It is using its military might to exert control in the South China Sea and make numerous military threats against Taiwan. It has a “police” presence in Canada and elsewhere, threatening Chinese Canadians, including politicians, to advance legislation that favours China’s political and economic agenda.
Yes, the West has to deal with China. What the West has learned, however, is that it is not in our interest, politically, economically and from a national security perspective, to grant China dominant and/or absolute control in any endeavour whatsoever.
