The jury has already heard that at the frantic crash scene, police arrested a belligerent and yelling Jacobs for public intoxication and drove her to a cell at London OPP headquarters. Hours later, she was released without charges and without any breath analysis. She testified, under questions from assistant Crown attorney Marcia Hilliard, that she drank six cans of beer with friends before she met Beulah Peters, Jacobs and other people at Tiger Jack’s bar in southwest London about midnight.

However, Tanya Peters said she couldn’t recall whether Beulah Peters and Jacobs were drinking from a mickey. They were on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, when there was an argument and Beulah Peters got out of the pickup.
