Firefighters are continuing to battle a growing grassfire north of Melbourne as residents near Flowerdale are warned conditions could worsen 'very quickly'.
In an updated statement at 10.57am on Wednesday, a Watch and Act message was issued for Dairy Creek, Flowerdale, Homewood, Kerrisdale, Strath Creek and Strath Creek along Upper King Parrot Creek Road."You should prepare to leave. Conditions may change and get worse very quickly,"the CFA wrote in a statement.
A grassfire is growing rapidly north of Melbourne as emergency services race to get it under control. Firefighters and water bombing aircraft will continue to work through the day and night to get the fire under control.
