THUNDER BAY - This week marks the beginning of the city's yard waste collection, officially starting tomorrow Tuesday and again on May 26.
Only paper bags will be accepted on regular recycling days, they can be purchased at most grocery and hardware stores. The city has specified that the bag must weigh under 40 pounds after being filled with small branches, twigs, leaf and other yard waste. Branches less than a metre long, along with brush, can be left with the yard waste bags. They must be bundled with string or rope and no wider than two feet.
