We do not believe we have to choose between preserving our environment and keeping our economy strong, writes PM Scott Morrison

Our government acknowledges and accepts the challenge of addressing climate change. However, we do so not just with impassioned hearts – but also cool heads. We do not believe we have to choose between preserving our environment and keeping our economy strong. The Liberals and Nationals have a strong record of environmental vision and achievement.

Our new Climate Solutions Fund will deliver additional nationwide climate solutions in partnership with businesses, local communities and farmers. Agricultural projects will include revegetating degraded land and increasing soil carbon to improve farm productivity and resilience. This not only reduces emissions but has clear economic advantages, such as increasing farming income. The Climate Solutions Fund will ensure the ERF delivers a further 103 million tonnes in emission reductions to 2030.
