Paved pathway will connect Walmart, Sleep Country parking lots
An unmaintained rocky, sandy path existed along the steeply-graded portion of Spencer Drive prior to this work.
Fusion Charlottetown, a non-profit advocacy organization for people aged 18 to 40 has been pushing Smart Centres to act for more than a year now, saying the grade created a dangerous path for people with mobility or sight issues.In an interview with SaltWire in June, Sarah Outram, president of Fusion Charlottetown, tried to demonstrate what people who used the unmaintained pathway faced every day, carefully watching her step as she made her way down the hill.
