Woolworths has confirmed a major change to its popular range of mud cakes, effective immeditately. This week, the supermarket is launching a new Hokey Pokey flavour in store and online for a limited time only. Developed by the Woolworths bakery team, the Hokey Pokey Mudcake is made with milk chocolate and coated in honeycomb pieces. The new flavour is the latest version of the popular dessert, which has included Mint Choc, Orange Choc and Birthday Cake.
“In the past, we’ve experimented with a few ice cream flavours, like last year’s Cookies & Cream mud cake. It was a huge hit. “Bringing delicious chocolate and honeycomb together, we hope everyone can enjoy this sweet treat, whether it’s a convenient dessert or becomes part of a larger celebration cake masterpiece. As the name suggests, that’s what it’s all about.” Woolworths sells more than 2.6 million cakes are sold each year, which equates to a staggering five mud cakes every minute.
