Penny Wong has fired back at Paul Keating's blistering attack on her work as Foreign Minister, where he criticised her for 'running around the Pacific Islands' with a lei around her neck.
Ms Wong on Monday said Mr Keating had"diminished both his legacy and the subject matter" through remarks he made to the media about a month ago.

Foreign policy is what you do with the great powers. What you do with China. What you do with the United States.
"We've enhanced our maritime security cooperation, signed a bilateral security treaty with Vanuatu and are making progress on a treaty with PNG."
