Two women in their 60s are arrested in Adelaide's CBD after gluing themselves to a pile of bicycles on a city street in protest against Santos being the major sponsor of the Tour Down Under cycling race.
"I think people are free to share their concerns; the disruptions is what is outraging me," she said.
"We've seen them hold up traffic before, we've seen them protest this way, but why are you going to do this at an event that is such an important event for South Australia?" A Santos spokeswoman said the company respected the rights of people to protest safely and peacefully. "Our commitment is to be a global leader in the transition to cleaner energy and clean fuels, by helping the world decarbonise to reach net zero emissions in an affordable and sustainable way," she said.
"We're undertaking some of that work right here in South Australia, constructing one of the world's biggest carbon capture and storage projects in Moomba, which willThe women, who Extinction Rebellion identified as Anne and Anna, were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in March.
