Highway 17 near Bruce Mines was closed to facilitate the investigation into a pedestrian fatality when police say the 42-year-old drove into the crash scene
A driver from Sault Ste. Marie faces impaired charges after police say the 42-year-old drove through a highway closure as OPP investigated a fatal hit and run on Highway 17 near Bruce Mines early Saturday morning.
Investigating officers initiated a traffic stop as the accused drove into the collision scene. It was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.
