Three men, aged between 52 and 62, were arrested for conspiracy to cheat involving fake gold ingots.
The police said they received a report on June 19 at about 3.15pm that a woman was cheated of $4,000 after two men handed over to her gold ingots for safekeeping.
The men also produced a document in old Chinese writing, resembling an old will, as well as a small piece of gold ingot. When she returned to the goldsmith shop to further authenticate the other ingots, they were found to be fake.
