MELAKA: A kindergarten owner has lost RM1.6mil in an investment scam supposedly run by a “Taiwanese businessman”.
To make matters worse, the 53-year-old victim from Ayer Keroh here had also borrowed money from her family members to invest in the so-called business.
“The fraudster who introduced himself as ‘Tan Sau Fung’ claimed he was residing in Japan. He persuaded the woman to invest in a United States-run online shopping mall,” he said.
