Police are trying to identify a person dressed all in black who was seen walking in the area around the time of the fire
West Shore RCMP arrived about 2:50 a.m. at the house at 2356 Sooke Rd., with the Colwood Fire Department already on scene.
No injuries were reported, and a police canvass of the neighbourhood determined no one was living in the residence. Police said no suspects have been identified, but they are trying to identify a person dressed all in black who was seen walking in the area around the time of the fire. They believe the person could have information that could help the investigation.
They are also asking for people in the area to check their home surveillance systems and for drivers to check dashcam footage if they were in the vicinity from 1-3 a.m. July 28.
