Centre for Western Sydney Thomas Nance says, “winning over Western Sydney is about hearts”, as there is massive potential in the area, and people no longer want to feel talked down to.

“It’s really about taking Western Sydney seriously, for years there’s been feeling on the ground that Western Sydney is often talked down through, it’s promised big infrastructure, but no real cut through for what that means for people’s lives,” he told Sky News host Erin Molan.

“The aspiration doesn’t just tie itself down to a traditional aspiration – it’s also around aspiration in terms of future and what Western Sydney can be.”
