The main demographic is youth ages 12 to 19, but he’s quick to point out The Half Pipe has something for all ages; and it regularly has customers on either end of the age spectrum.

It’s not uncommon to see youth bartering, looking to trade in an item for something else. Both McPhee and Henry encourage that. It’s a unique model, and one they find to be working well. Henry said there’s buy-in from the kids because it’s a safe, welcoming environment. The Half Pipe buys, sells, and trades clothing, creates custom T-shirts, as well as offers skateboards, games, toys, jewelery, Jibbitz, and much more. They also have a slushie machine, which has proven quite popular.
