Wind, rain and snow warnings issued across B.C. as low pressure system moves in from Alaska

Strong wind and heavy rain forecast Monday for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, while heavy snow hits many parts of the Interior

A rainfall warning is also in effect for the Fraser Valley – east to Hope – with more than 50 mm forecast to fall, starting Monday morning and carrying on throughout the night. Areas of localized flooding and water pooling on roads is expected. The storm is also expected to bring heavy snow to Highway 3 from Paulson Summit to the Kootenay Pass with blowing snow expected to make driving difficult.
