Flights in and out of the small city-owned airport were cancelled Monday evening
The airport is closed until further notice, the city said on social media shortly before 5 p.m. A 6:18 p.m. WestJet flight from Calgary was cancelled as well as a WestJet departure to Calgary scheduled for 8:50 p.m.Canadian Rockies airport mainly serves flights to and from Calgary and Vancouver, as well as some international arrivals, with about 135,000 passengers each year.
