Nor do Penny Wong and Albanese appear to acknowledge that any realistic prospect of a two-state solution ended on October 7 when the unspeakable acts by Hamas terrorists killed the hope of dividing the map between two peaceful neighbours.
Hamas took charge two years later, and so began a decade and a half of brutality and indoctrination that culminated in the attacks last October. He accused Sharon of standing by"while Israel's right-wing allies committed massacres of thousands of women and children in Sabra and Chatilla".
