“The uniforms worn by our Australian cricket teams are iconic and we are comfortable taking our time to secure a great partnership for the men’s shirt that is mutually beneficial for all parties.”As far as prospective sponsors are concerned, a home summer featuring Pakistan and the West Indies is less attractive than the next two, when India and England will visit for high-profile series.
The words “mutually beneficial” took on new significance last year when this masthead revealed the men’s captain Pat Cummins had raised ethical objections to the Alinta deal, on the basis that the energy provider was a major carbon emitter.
