They go by names such as Emma, Wendy, Winnie, Sherry or Amoi and appear nice initially on social media.“These five names are very popular in the Klang Valley,” said Malaysia Muslim Consumers Association work secretary Muhammad Zharif Johor.Muhammad Zharif added that some even harassed borrowers by splashing paint or taking their phones and using this to blackmail them.A victim known as Zaimi said he met a woman who claimed to be a financial consultant and borrowed RM3,000.
