What if a clinic refuses service or doesn’t provide proper care?
Once established, the organization will be responsible for outlining safety standards and regular inspections for each facility. An individual who fails to comply with rules under the Independent Health Facilities Act could face a fine of up to $50,000 on a first offence. This goes up to $100,000 for subsequent offences. Individuals may also face imprisonment for up to 12 months.
