There will be no regular transit service
A number of City of Sault Ste. Marie-operated offices and facilities will be closed on the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, including the Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site, the Public Library, and the John Rhodes Community Centre.For a complete list of closures and service limitations, please see the news release below:
The City of Sault Ste. Marie reminds residents of schedule changes for the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022. • City Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Depot • GFL Memorial Gardens office and Box Office • McMeeken arena and the Northern Community Centre • Public Works office. For 24-hour emergency service, call 705-759-5201 • Sault Transit service will not operate.
• Seniors Services – Bay Street Active Living Centre 55+ and the Northern Community Centre Active 55+There is no garbage, leaf and yard waste or recycling pickup on Monday, Oct. 10. Collection will be one day late following the holiday. • Leaf and yard waste is collected curbside on your scheduled garbage day bi-weekly. The landfill also collects leaf and yard waste in compostable paper bags . The final two weeks of leaf and yard waste collection are weather permitting . To view the leaf and yard waste collection calendar and see which week your leaf and yard waste collection will be, visit the website. • The Landfill will close on Saturdays for the season on Oct. 24, 2022. • There will be no regular Transit service.
