Sydney will seek to shake off recent wet weather as food markets, street festivals and international sporting events highlight the entertainment offerings for those looking to get out and about.after a two-year pandemic hiatus. Side streets and car parks in the Parramatta CBD have been transformed into mini food hubs and concert venues and there’ll be plenty happening from 5-10pm on Friday and Saturday.

“Our food reflects the diversity of our community. And it’s that fusion of food that makes Parramatta Lanes so special,” City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Donna Davis said. The main concert stage in Centenary Square will host Diwali celebrations on Friday night, while Saturday will showcase a number of Western Sydney artists and DJs.will be on at Surry Hills’ Prince Alfred Park, after being rained out last weekend. The markets will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
