Firefighters have narrowly saved Weiambilla shooting victim Alan Dare's home from a raging fire that has ripped through the region just a day out from his funeral.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined but the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service are treating it as suspicious.
"They'll take over from our local people who've uncovered a few things that we need to investigate a lot closer.” “Fire and Rescue and Rural Fire Service crews have been working almost non-stop for the past week to fight multiple grass fires in Tara,” QFES said in a Facebook post.
