We will see temperatures moderate to more seasonal values, with only a slight risk of a few flurries
After a crazy end to the weather in 2022, we usher in the New Year this weekend with no significant weather.
Instead, we will see temperatures moderate to more seasonal values, with only a slight risk of a few flurries. However, it might not last long, as more snow is set to move into the region by the middle of this coming workweek. Temperatures remain several degrees above freezing Friday morning, with light rain coming to an end. Temperatures begin to fall in the afternoon as cooler air moves back into the region.
More seasonable daytime highs, near the freezing mark, return Saturday, along with some brief sunshine. New Year's Day will be cloudy with the chance of a brief flurry and temperatures near -2°C. More of the same is expected for Monday, with the next chance of measurable snow on target for Tuesday.
