SEGAMAT: Norahimah Noor Muhammad, who was killed with her husband and four of their children in a road crash at KM5 of Jalan Segamat-Kuantan here, had joked about taking a last photo of herself at her youngest sister’s wedding reception in Muar on Aug 27.
“We were at our mother’s house in Parit Jawa, Muar, for our youngest sister’s wedding reception. She was taking some pictures and said they could be her last.
Fatal collision: A family of six died in the accident involving a sand-laden trailer and four cars at Jalan Segamat-Kuantan near Taman Yayasan in Segamat. “I’m still in shock. This is the first time any of our family members have died in a road crash. Although she left us in a tragic way, we accept it as fate,” she said.
The crash occurred at 6.37pm on Friday when a sports utility vehicle coming from the direction of Kuantan slowed down due to roadworks, but a trailer behind it failed to stop in time and hit the back of the SUV.
