Weather related closures and cancellations

The Sault Major Hockey Association has cancelled all scheduled games for tonight as a result of the weather and will reschedule them. Teams with practices scheduled should contact their coaches directly regarding any changes.The Sault Female Hockey Association has cancelled ice time tonight for all SFHA teams.

The Sault Ste. Marie Museum's movie screening event, The Ace & the Scout, that was planned for tonight at 6 p.m. will be postponed due to deteriorating weather. We will announce a new date for the movie screening next week on our website and social media pages. Lake Superior State University will close at noon on Jan. 19, 2023, due to weather conditions. All campus offices and buildings will be closed. Only essential personnel need to report to work. Lake State will re-open on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, as scheduled.
