We have a Business Council of Australia – why not incorporate a Community Council of Australia , where all community organisations could, and would be encouraged to, participate in membership and provide their recommendations and views on proposed changes? Australians are basically compliant taxpayers on the basis that the taxes paid are fair and equitable. The combination of the BCA and CCA working together and taking all of their members on an improved tax and transfer payment journey, could see long-term systemic change to the way we collect future taxes and share this wealth within our society.The suggestion by Treasurer Jim Chalmers that our superannuation funds should be invested in the defence sector is very short-sighted .
