Victoria Police release images of people who invaded the pitch at Saturday's A-League Melbourne Derby, including a man who ran onto the field with a metal bucket.

abc.net.au/news/police-release-images-of-soccer-pitch-invasion/101786688Police have released images of a person they suspect threw a metal bucket at Melbourne City's goalkeeper during a pitch invasion at AAMI Park on Saturday night.

Other photos show a man police want to speak to in relation to a flare and alleged assault, and others wanted over the pitch invasion. But tensions escalated when a flare hit and injured a Network 10 cameraman. The situation exploded when Glover picked up another flare off the ground and threw it back into the stands.

Acting Superintendent Jason Goddard from Victoria Police described the incident as shocking and disgraceful, saying it "lacked total respect for the game of football".
