Do you think it's fair for Liz Truss to claim £115k a year for life? Ms Truss was the UK's shortest-serving Prime Minister, yet she qualifies for the payment

Liz Truss will be able to claim up to £115,000 a year - a privilege reserved to former Prime Ministers - despite only serving in the role for 44 days.

Ms Truss became the UK's shortest serving Prime Minister and was replaced by Rishi Sunak last week. But regardless of her time in office she will qualify for the Public Duty Cost Allowance. The payment, of up to £115,000, is used to assist former PMs who are still active in public life. It means she can claim the sum for any expenses incurred while carrying out jobs related to her brief time in 10 Downing Street. We want to hear if you think it's fair that Ms Truss qualifies for this payment, despite having been in office for such a short amount of time. You can head to our comments section and let us know your thoughts.

Should it matter how long she served as PM? LancsLive will be joining you in the comments section too.
