At the bottom of the fourth inning against the Chicago White Sox, Kiermaier was back in the dugout after tripling and then scoring. He saw a young fan in the stands, walked over and tossed his gloves to the kid, pointing and waving at him. With the prized gloves in his hands, the kid couldn’t believe his luck. His mouth dropped open, his eyes popped and he kissed both gloves as Kiermaier gave him a thumbs up.
Kiermaier later told Sportsnet’s Hazel Mae that it’s his habit to give his batting gloves to kids whenever he slides and tears them.and will conclude the series with a Wednesday matinee.following a close play at the plate.
