A tourist in the cockpit of one of the Sea World helicopters has captured the moment a passenger tries desperately to warn the pilot about an incoming chopper before its rotor smashes into their aircraft.
, showed one tourist in the back seat panning the camera from left to right to take in the views of the Queensland city., and two women, New Zealand friends Elmarie Steenberg and Marle Swart.
New Zealand tourists Elmarie and Riaan Steenberg were aboard the helicopter which crash-landed on a sandbank at the Gold Coast after a mid-air collision with another chopper. Picc Facebook. Three others, Ms Tadros' son Nicholas, 10, and Victorian mother Winnie de Silva, 33, and her son Leon, nine, were seriously injured and remain in hospital.
"Our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to the injured and the deceased and the families," it read. Ms Steenberg and Ms Swart are recovering in Gold Coast University Hospital. Their husbands have been discharged.
