An investigation has determined there was no cyberattack behind Tuesday’s halting of the corridor that services CN, Via, UP Express and GO.
The investigation is complete and it has been determined that there was no cyberattack behind Tuesday’s halting of the train corridor that services CN, Via, UP Express and GO trains. It is hard to imagine that there would be good news coming out of Tuesday’s massive train system outrage, but for a country that has been dealing with so much in recent times, it is certainly glad to get some.
This week has also seen a major backlog for ambulances as well. On Monday, there were 50 ambulances in the queue in what is called a code red, which means there were way more calls than there were paramedics or ambulances available. While things have improved as the week has gone on, Toronto Civic Employees Union Local 416 unit chair Mike Merriman said things are at an unacceptable point where people in distress are not being served.
But full credit has to go to the workers at GO, Via, CN, UP Express, Metrolinx and, of course, the TTC for doing their best and stepping up for people in need.CODE RED ALERT! 🚨NO AMBULANCES AVAILABLE IN TORONTO. Yesterday, Toronto Paramedic Services requested emergency aid from more well-prepared and staffed bordering municipalities. Please be safe! And of course, the paramedics, fire services and police officers, who all pinch hit in a tough situation to help their community.
