Members of the police service’s public response unit made it to the location quickly. But this was close. In the past two weeks, there have been numerous violent attacks on the TTC, including two stabbings. This one could have been a lot worse. But with the extra deployment of officers on the system, they are starting to get a rhythm of where to be.One of the problems in recent times on subway are the people who have nowhere else to live and suffer from mental health issues or addictions.This was the second major incident on the GTA’s transit system Tuesday. A man was assaulted and suffered life-threatening injuries at the Ajax Go station. Both are being investigated.
