“Bob and Doug are rallying Canadians to oppose Ottawa’s plan to increase the federal tax on beer by 6.3% on April 1, the biggest increase in 40 years,” said Beer Canada, which hired the legendary SCTV duo of Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis to reprise their iconic Cancon characters from the 1980s to pour some cold beer over the Liberal government’s tax on alcohol.
