A wanted man has been taken into custody after he allegedly locked himself inside a Queensland home and made threats to police.
Police arrived at a home on Naranja Crescent at Benowa Waters on the Gold Coast after 7.20am on Tuesday morning.Heavily armed officers surrounded the Gold Coast home after a wanted man locked himself in.
Picture: 7NewsThe man, in his 30s, allegedly locked himself inside the home and made threats heard by attending officers.Detectives negotiated with the man, while heavily armed officers remained on stand-by around the home. Queensland Ambulance were also at the scene in case of assistance. Police, in a statement, revealed the incident had been successfully contained and there were no threats to neighbouring properties.
