Strong institutional interest for the 8554-hectare property in WA’s Great Southern Region shows buyers are interested in large-scale assets.
WA property developer Julian Walter has sold his mixed-farming operation Cherylton Farms for a record $100 million to Excel Farms, a Victorian business led by Nick Paterson and backed by Canadian investor Fiera Comox Partners.
Ararat-based Excel Farms has paid $100 million for Cherylton Farms, an 8554-hectare property in WA’s Great Southern Region. “We experienced exceptionally high levels of participation from institutional investors in the sale process for Cherylton Farms,” said Mr Thomas, who marketed the property with colleagues Simon Wilkinson and Erica Semmens.
